Recently, I spent about four hours filming a feature interview with Andrew
Speno of KOKH Fox 25 in Oklahoma City. The interview focuses on what it
means to be a transgender woman, what my life was like growing up, and where
I am now. Fox 25 in Oklahoma City will be airing Part I of the story on the
9:00 news Wednesday, May 13 and Part II on the 9:00 news on Wednesday, May
20. Both of those newscasts come on immediately following the conclusion of
American Idol (part II will be after the Idol season finale).
If you are interested in getting to know more about who I am and what it means to be transgender, I encourage you to watch it. If you are outside the
OKC viewing area, I've been told the video will be available online within hours of each broadcast athttp://www.facebook.com/l/;kokh.com. I'm very excited about the opportunity to introduce myself to my fellow
Oklahomans in my own words, and to help bring attention to a topic that is
often misunderstood and sensationalized in the conventional media.
